Houston staffing firm, founded and led by Jennifer Dean since 1993, ranks No. 32 on HBJ's 2026 Women-Owned Businesses List
HOUSTON, Oct. 22, 2026 — Dean's Professional Services (DPS), a 100% woman-owned staffing firm headquartered in West Houston, has been ranked No. 32 on the Houston Business Journal's 2026 list of the largest women-owned businesses in Houston, published Oct. 16. The list ranks women-owned companies based in the Houston metro area by their number of Houston-area employees.
This year's list recognizes 101 Houston-area companies that together employ more than 6,900 people locally. To qualify, one or more women must hold a combined ownership stake of at least 51%. DPS, founded by Jennifer Dean in 1993, provides healthcare staffing services to most of the major healthcare organizations in the greater Houston area and others nation-wide. DPS places professionals across healthcare, food service and administrative roles, including clinical and non-clinical professionals.
"Thirty-three years ago, I started this company with a simple belief: that people deserve to be served with excellence and treated with dignity, whether they're the client or the candidate," said Jennifer Dean, founder and President of Dean's Professional Services. "Being named among Houston's largest women-owned businesses is an honor that belongs to our team. Every day, they connect hardworking people with meaningful work and help our clients keep their doors open and their patients and customers cared for."
"This recognition is a reminder that professionalism and service never go out of style," Dean added. "We're grateful to the Houston Business Journal, to our clients who trust us, and to the thousands of employees who have represented DPS so well over the years."
